Ali Minaret

Ali minaret (Persian: مناره علی) is a historical minaret in Isfahan, Iran. It is close to the Ali mosque. This minaret is the oldest minaret in Isfahan, which dates back to the 11th century. This minaret is 48 meters in height and is the highest historical minaret in Isfahan. It is said that this minaret was originally 50 meters, but its height has been decreased two meters in the course of time. (From Wikipedia)

Some works from 2013 / Chehel Sotoun

Happy new year my dear friends. I wish health and happiness for all of you.

Of course as I told here, new year begins with spring in Iran. Today is snowy in Isfahan after about 3 years and people are very happy.

I decided to show you some of my new works of Chehel Sotoun palace. Chehel Sotoun is one of my favorite places in Isfahan with it's really peaceful and beautiful environment.

A lonely tree / the left sketch is by gouache

I had shared some sketches and informations about this place and it's garden here and here, but I tried this time to draw from new points of view and with new perspectives. Wish you enjoy..

North of Iran(2)/ Kelardasht

Kelardasht  is a city in and the capital of Kelardasht District, in Chalus County, Mazandaran Province, Iran.

Originally a farming area, in recent years much of its land was sold in small lots to build numerous villas which are occupied by summer visitors trying to escape the heat of Tehran and points further south.

Its attractions mainly consist of its natural beauty including Alamkooh Mountain (the second tallest peak in Iran (4850 m)), Abbasabad Road, Valasht lake and cooler climate.
But picnicking and mountain climbing in the area surrounding Rud Barak are also popular, as well as in the lush Abbasabad Forest nearby.

North of Iran (1)

This summer we went on a trip around Iran. I have done some sketches in this trip. I organized some of them and here are some works from the north of Iran.

Iran has many different climates and the weather in the north is totally different from the center of Iran.
I had shared some works of Yazd here ,but you find that there is a different style of architecture in the north, as a result of different climate. There are many beautiful jungles and mountains near Caspian Sea.

On the roof of the city

After some sketches of the people on the road...

This Monday we went on the roof of the old districts of the city.

It was wonderful experience of beautiful views.

We were seeing the birds and listening to their sounds. And also the silence…. The total silence
